KEEP THIS FILE FOR TECH NOTES (Or go to my blog located at Categorie Msp Managed Networks)

This normally occurs due to permission issues for the Agent on the Device. Perform the following?

1. Log in to the Device as an Administrator

2. On the server or workstation open the “Start” menu and select “Programs”, “Advanced Monitoring Agent”

3. Enter the password used to install the Agent on that server or workstation

4. From the “File” Menu, select “Remove Agent Service”

5. Then, from the “File” Menu, select “Install Agent Service”

6. From the “Username” drop down, enter the domain admin account (DOMAIN\Administrator) and click “OK”

7. Finally, from the “File” Menu, select “Activate”

8. Go into the registry and find this:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData value=%APPDATA%

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData value=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData value=%USERPROFILE%\Application Data Run as Administrator

12. Then open the settings.ini file located in C:\Program Files(x86 if 64bit)\Advanced Monitoring Agent (GP if installed via GPO)

13. Find the following section:

INSTALL_ERROR_COUNT=3 Delete checks like this -> Select Workstation or Servers -> Sort the service -> Check the machines that you want this action applied to ->
click delete
Now keep in mind this is a one off and is not applied to any new machines that you may install the agent too in the future
